The Manitoba Municipal Recall Act

A Formal Legislative Proposal for Cabinet Consideration

The Manitoba Municipal Recall Act is a proposed legislative initiated and prepared by Edwin Giesbrecht as, The Founding Framer, submitted to every cabinet member of the Government of Manitoba and oppositon. It was developed to strengthen accountability, transparency, and public confidence in municipal government by providing residents with a structured democratic process to address serious misconduct, neglect of duty, or breaches of public trust by elected municipal officials. Receiving favorable attention from local news media and endorsed by the Prairie Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Association.

This submission package consists of the formal Cover Letter to the Premier of Manitoba, the proposed MB Municipal Recall Act, and an Executive Summary outlining the purpose, principal provisions, and anticipated benefits of the legislation.

Whether or not you agree with every aspect of this proposal, I invite you to review the documents and draw your own conclusions. My objective has always been to encourage thoughtful discussion, strengthen democratic accountability, and contribute constructively to the future of municipal governance in Manitoba including the RM of Springfiel.
